The MVP Wave is a highly popular, stable-to-understable high-speed distance driver. When molded in MVP's proprietary Fission plastic, it is widely considered one of the ultimate maximum-distance discs on the market for intermediate players and those looking to unlock easy distance.

The Fission Plastic Technology
Fission plastic is where the Wave truly shines due to MVP’s advanced physics-driven manufacturing process:
  • Microbubble Flight Plate: MVP injects lightweight microbubbles into the central flight plate, allowing them to produce the disc in incredibly light weights—all the way down into the 140g–150g range.
  • Heavy GYRO Overmold: While the center is lightweight, the outer rim is made of dense, heavy premium plastic. This concentrates the disc’s mass on the absolute outer edge.
  • The Result: The disc spins faster, maintains its angular momentum longer, and exhibits a higher resistance to turning over completely compared to traditional lightweight discs. You get the easy speed of a light disc with the stable, reliable finish of a heavy disc.

Who is the Fission Wave for?
  • Developing Players & Slower Arm Speeds: Lightweight Fission Waves (145g–160g) allow players with average arm speed to fully activate an 11-speed rim, resulting in effortless, straight distance that they normally couldn't achieve with max-weight drivers.
  • Power Throwers: Advanced players often look for heavier Fission Waves (165g–175g) to use for high-flying tailwind bombs, massive turning hyzer-flips, or long-distance rollers.
